Job Description:
Strategy
- Close collaboration with A.P.S. organizational leadership (executive and research) to develop annual A.P.S. strategic objectives (e.g., key themes that will be researched, fundraising goals, etc.)
- Development of agenda and presentation and coordination of annual strategy meeting with A.P.S. organizational leadership.
- The development and implementation of a communications strategy for A.P.S. that builds on annual strategic organizational objectives and maintains a positive organizational brand.
- Management of annual A.P.S. communications budget.
- Setting organizational protocol (e.g., filing system)
- Oversight over A.P.S. communications and branding in various online and print platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and industry magazines.
- Establishing and managing up to 10 key Tier 1 media relations (local, regional, and international)
- Acting as organizational spokesperson and responds to members of the media in a timely manner; composes and distributes press releases as needed.
- Direct assistance to A.P.S. executive leadership in developing presentations, speeches, and other important corporate messages.
- Ensuring quality control of all information released.
Talent acquisition and management (communications)
Identification and oversight over a diversely skilled communications team:
- Press
– Media relations
– Editorial managers
- Digital
– Social media / web content managers
– Web developers
- Content creators
– Arabizers
– Photographers / videographers
– Graphic designers
Driving an evidence-based communications management culture
Cultivation of an environment of readiness and alertness by setting daily / weekly / bi-weekly targets and individual performance KPIs, across press, events and digital channels (e.g., pieces of coverage, thought leadership, attendance, inquiries, website traffic, engagement rates, etc.)
Implementation
- Oversight over all key vendors across all channels the development and maintenance of the corporate website including methods to deliver messages, ease of navigation, and clarity of information; ensures that all content is current and relevant.
- Oversight of corporate communications and branding in various online and print platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and industry magazines.

- Provision of guidance concerning graphics, clarity, distribution, and press releases
- The development and presentation of quarterly achievement / challenges report on A.P.S. communications and outreach activities

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, Marketing, or related field.
- At least 7 years’ experience in communications administration of which at least two years in a management role.
