Consultancy for Child Protection (Monitoring and Evaluation/MIS)

Objective:

Provide technical support to UNICEF CP programme staff and implementing partners for a standardized and consistent implementation of monitoring tools and indicator tracking and establishment of national MIS in MoSS, NCCM and prosecution office for children at risk. The consultant will support the regular update of the dashboard and document the progress and challenges in the field, including developing required tools and reports.

Methodology:

The consultant will carry out this assignment through:

  • Technical coordination with section chief and CP colleagues in regard to programme planning, monitoring and reporting;
  • Regular field support to implementing partners to build capacities and monitor work.

Conditions of work:

The consultant will be working on a full-time basis as per designated working days.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Master’s degree in social sciences, development studies, political science, or related technical field.
  • Five to ten years of relevant work experience.
  • Substantive knowledge in child protection; systems and policy with particular relevance to the Egyptian child protection system.
  • Substantial knowledge of M&E in regards to child protection. Working previously with UNICEF programmes is an asset.
  • Experience in working with community and governmental counterparts on child protection issues.
  • Experience in facilitating participatory processes and consensus building; policy dialogues, partnership networking and training workshops with government stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel to different governorates on a monthly basis.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic.
