The objective is to ensure consistent, efficient, and proactive administrative service provided to all team members in the country office. the gap that will be filled by the consultant will ensure that all administrative services are covered, provided efficiently and on a timely manner without any delay.
Methodology:
The efficiency and effectiveness of administrative support provided by the consultant ensures that Admin unit provides the admin services to all programme sections on a timely manner that will affect the overall office deliverables in a positive manner.
ACTIVITIES, DELIVERABLES AND TIMELINES, PLUS BUDGET PER DELIVERABLE:
Tasks:
- Carries out Year-end physical inventory for the office
- Assist in asset management
- Assist in monitoring effectiveness of equipment and recommend disposal as per the depreciation and prepares items for the Property Survey Board (PSB) and print PSB vision reports from the system and follow up on updating the PSB results in the vision.
- Review and process of monthly payments
- Assist in maintenance of the premises
- Assist in assigning and monitoring office mobiles and lines and submit to finance section any personal expenses to be covered by staff member.
- Follow up with MOFA on any admin related matter (residencies, license, visa requests, etc…)
- Hand over and train the new coming selected candidate for the GS-5 post in case advertised and onboarded.

-Bachelor’s degree or secondary education supplemented by technical, or university courses related to the work of administration.
-A minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible administrative or clerical work experience is required.
-Fluency in English and local language of the duty station ( Arabic) is required

Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
