Learning Coordinator

Job Overview:

Abwaab is a fast-growing Jordan-based online learning platform that allows school students to learn at their own pace, test themselves and get ahead with our expert tutors anytime and anywhere. By offering engaging video lessons, visualized learning journeys, continuous assessment and performance analytics, we are changing the way students learn outside the classroom.

Abwaab is currently operating in 5 countries across the MENAP region – Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, KSA and Pakistan.

The role of Learning Coordinator at Abwaab is to work with and support the Learning Team in upholding Abwaab’s vision for learning excellency. This includes working on syllabus mappings, training of teachers, teacher assistants and assessment writers, and auditing content (lessons and questions).

The Learning Coordinator will also be required to create and maintain clear channels of communication with both internal and external stakeholders. The goal is to ensure an excellent and enriching learning experience for students on Abwaab.


  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and thought leaders to design high-quality learning experiences by delineating learner outcomes, content outlines and syllabi, and hands-on assessments in content development processes;

  • Identify scope and course sequence, prerequisite and requisite skills, and technical requirements for each learning program by incorporating Bloom’s taxonomy, Backward Design, and Mastery Learning best practices

  • Provide learning design training and pedagogical training and feedback to subject matter experts to ensure high-quality learning experiences

  • Develop training documents such as manuals and handbooks for all involved shareholders and conduct training sessions for Teachers, TAs and Assessment Writers.

  • Review, interpret and audit lessons and questions to determine the accuracy and effectiveness of set lessons with their intended learning outcomes.

  • Bring teachers’ strengths and weaknesses to the attention of the Learning Team and provide advice as to how to develop responses or fixes for these issues.

  • Generate reports and present findings to the Learning Team or other interested parties.

  • Maintain a keen understanding of different techniques offered by competitors that can offer a learner-oriented experience with high levels of engagement.

  • Lead Focus Group experiments and studies with different learning behavior models to provide student-driven recommendations and enhancements.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field /A master degree is preferable

  • Strong academic background in school subjects

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience is preferable


  • Business communication skills

  • Time management and organizational skills (ability to prioritize tasks)

  • Ability to multitask

  • Analytical skills

  • High organization skills and efficiency

  • Experience working with Google Apps and preferably Atlassian’s JIRA.


  • Sufficient knowledge about the educational landscape of Jordan.
