Habitat for Humanity Egypt is aiming to hold the National Housing Forum that will take place on 5th
of October 2022, this forum comes as a prelude to the Regional MENA Housing Forum, which is
scheduled to be held 21-23 November 2022.
Within an evolving housing eco-system, the forum aims to tackle the key questions on the housing
supply for the poor and the vulnerable communities. As such, the housing eco-system refers to all
the actors and institutions that work together to meet the needs of the society in terms of housing
supply, including the housing value-chain.
As the Program & Communication Departments Intern you will assist in administering all tasks
related to the Forum including but not limited to handling the operational functions, developing
content for the event, translating documents, and assisting in outreach activities, provide support
to the communication, program team and other cross-functional teams across the organization
Expected Tasks:
Undertake research on housing and human settlement related topics;
Support the documentation of case studies, success stories and lessons learned in the
implementation of various housing related interventions;
Assist in preparation of materials and information for the National Housing Forum related
meetings;
Support the development of media articles and products as appropriate;
Knowledge management (such as support in organizing National Housing Forum files);
Assist the organization of the National Housing Forum;
Assist in writing concept notes and blogs (e.g., from papers presented during conferences);
Support the communications team, prepare relevant communications materials (speeches,
brochures, success stories, social media materials etc.);
Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Fresh graduates (0-1 year of experience)
Bachelor’s degree in either Social Sciences, Communications, Marketing, Urban
Development or any other related subjects;
Understanding of microfinance/ urban or rural development and related policies;
Experience managing social media channels (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram);
Fluent in Arabic & English;
Good organizational skills;
Able to work independently and within a team;
Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills;
Strong interpersonal skills.
