Youth and Adolescents Coordinator

The Youth and Adolescents coordinator is primarily responsible to enhance the life skills and personal resilience of the target group through increased community participation, cohesion and youth participation – related policy frameworks and dialogue. The youth and adolescent Coordinator will be supporting the Youth and Adolescent Officer in the implementation of the life skills activities  and community initiatives for adolescents and youth from the refugees, migrants and host communities living at Ain Shams district and surrounding areas . Along with the officer, the coordinator will lead a team of community mentors operationally and technically to deliver training and capacity building activities for youth with particular focus on supporting communities implementing youth initiatives.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

Essential:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
From 1- 3 years’  of  experience in youth and adolescents program interventions and implementation with reputable humanitarian NGO operating in Egypt;
Bachelor’s degree in the development field or any other related field is required.
Experience in conducting trainings and working with refugee/migrants marginalized communities is a must.
Experience in facilitating platform of dialogues between different stakeholders.
Experience in establishing and support networks to collaborate, identify, plan and lead community initiatives.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in administrative work.
Ability to create networks and positive collaborations with different stakeholders to benefit the beneficiaries.
Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) and strong working knowledge of English is required.
Commitment to Save the Children values and Child Safeguarding.
Commitment to gender equality and inclusion of marginalized groups.
Experience in documentation and report writing.
Comfortable with high levels of ambiguity and able to take decisions independently in fluid context.
